About Me

My photo
Kevan Lunney
NJ, United States
The purpose of life is to share your gifts. My gift is hyper active eyesight and a love for manipulating fabric. I began sewing on my own brand new Singer Touch and Sew when I was nine years old and I haven't stopped. I have worked in the Fashion Institute of Technology costume lab, conserving antique and famous designers' clothing, as a designer in the sleepwear industry in NYC and as a small business owner with my own label, producing hand painted silk separates. I began quilting as an art form in 1993. The most exciting thing for me is seeing the constant growth of imagination, technology and techniques from artists and designers, not only in the field of textiles but design of all kinds including light and sound. It is a wondrous and rich world and I am happy to share some of it with you.
